Cersei the Serama hen finds the most interesting places to lay eggs.
This poor little peep was born blind and left behind by its mother hen. Unfortunately it had more problems than blindness and never was able to eat or drink on its own. It passed the next day but was safe and cozy in the incubator til the end.

The epitome of youth
Winter has disrupted the hens’ routines with a move to the barn from their chicken tractor. It took a couple days for them to find satisfactory places to lay their eggs. This corner is the new fave – and there is a line for it every morning when I open the door.
Passed inspection Clearing out the chicken tractor in anticipation of a stretch of stormy days. I had a very particular chicken boss.
